Cisco Bug: CSCsz63461 - With WLAN DHCP override the DHCP Server check is broken

Last Modified

Mar 25, 2011

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

4.2(176.0)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
On WLC GUI and CLI we cannot set the IP address of an Interface as a DHCP Server for that interface at the same time. This is fine.

However, if doing WLAN DHCP override we can specify the IP address of the mapped interface as a DHCP Server.

Example:

1) Interface test ip address 10.1.1.2 gateway 10.1.1.1 dhcp server 10.1.1.1
2) WLAN test is mapped to interface test
3) With DHCP Override on the WLAN I can set DHCP Server to 10.1.1.2 without any errors... A check should be enforced here.
Tested with 4.2.176.0 and 5.2.157.0 so far..

Conditions:
Configuring the DHCP server from the WLAN profile
