Description (partial)

Symptom:
In the Deleting Alternate Extensions chapter of the  Go to Cisco.com  	Cisco Online Help for Cisco Unity Connection Administration states the following:

To Delete Alternate Extensions for Multiple User Accounts at Once

   1. In Cisco Unity Connection Administration, expand Tools, and then click Bulk Edit.
   2. In the Bulk Edit utility, find the user accounts that you want to edit.
   3. Click Next.
   4. Click the Alternate Extensions tab.
   5. From the Select An Alternate Extension to Modify list, click the device for which you want to delete the alternate extension.
   6. For each Remove field, click 0 from the Digits list.
   7. Confirm that the remaining fields are blank.
   8. Click Next, and then click Finish.

Attempts to follow this procedure to delete alternate extensions in bulk fail. The bulk edit utility will generate a log file with the following error event logged for a subscriber with an alternate extension that you wish to remove:

ERROR bulk-edit 2009-05-12 15:35:56,263 - Errors: A User with the specified extension already exists in the Partition.
