Jun 10, 2010
- Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: After Remove/add of wlan-vlan map on AP Groups we see IPv6 address of wrong vlan subnet is assigned to the Client. IPv6 traffic is dropped . Conditions: 1.Create 1 WlAN ( WLAN-1) , enable it to support IPv6. 2. Create 2 AP Grps AP-GRP1 and AP-GRP2 mapped to VLan A and Vlan B respectively for the Wlan (WLAN-1) . 3. Connect the client to the WLAN-1 on AP-GRP1 and it gets both the proper IPv4 and IPv6 address(via autoconfig ) of the Vlan A it was mapped to . 4. Now remove the Wlan from one of the AP Group (AP-GRP1) and again map the (WLAN-1) to a different Vlan (Vlan B) on AP-GRP1. 5. Disconnect the client, remove the client from the wism database . 6. After some time Now make the client connect to the WLAN-1 and it seems that though it gets the IPv4 address of the correct Vlan ( Vlan B ) fine but it fails to get the correct IPv6 address ( gets the IPv6 address of the Vlan A . Ping to any IPv6 address fails .
