Description (partial)

There is no effect of the IP address chosen while specifying Global device filters in L2 OOB deployments.

If you configure a Global filter with ROLE Mapping, specify ANY ipaddress and the Correct MAC address, the device will be placed in the ROLE.
IP address does not have any effect on the actual functioning of the filter as long as MAC address is okay.
