Cisco Bug: CSCsz54861 - tcam_rm_carve_verify_func() aborts if found one Failure on the way
Feb 01, 2017
- Cisco 12000 Series Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Engine 3 Tcam Carving Config does not get restored and the config gets errored out with the following error after reload: !!% 'tcam-rm' detected the 'fatal' condition 'TCAM-RM: Only Engine 3 cards support tcam carving.' Conditions: Error is seen only on RP is because that is where the verifier is run. But the single, rather than multiple errors, is the clue. Code inspection of tcam_rm_carve_verify_func() finds that the entire verification batch is aborted when an error is seen. So, if slot X has the error (i.e. because it is not present), the entire batch will fail, including config for any other slots.
