Cisco Bug: CSCsz43403 - IPv6 HBH policing support on SIP200/FW2
Aug 26, 2013
- Cisco 7600 Series Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: IPv6 packets with hop-by-hop extension header will be punted to RP without rate limiting then at SIP200/FW2. This may cause a potential DoS attack on 7600 as all the punted packets to the RP can cause high RP CPU. Conditions: IPv6 hop-by-hop packets through 7600 platform. A high volume could overwhelm CPU.
