Cisco Bug: CSCsz41916 - isis process crash from out of range LSP lifetime
Jan 07, 2017
- Cisco Carrier Routing System
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: isis process crashes and restarts without impact on traffic forwarding. Conditions: The isis process crashes when the remaining lifetime returned for an LSP is greater than the max value of 16-bit unsigned integer, 65535. This is considered a rare occurence. When NSF is being used, the logs show IS-IS messages as if the adjacencies transition and get reset; this is caused since timestamps are not stored across an NSF restart. The states on adjacent neighbors show the correct state of affairs: that no adjacency resets in fact take place.
