Symptoms: The Cisco uBR10012 router crashed because it ran out of unfragmented memory and the following message was displayed: %SYS-2-MALLOCFAIL: Memory allocation of 65536 bytes failed from 0x60A33948, alignment 16 Pool: Processor Free: 44813096 Cause: Memory fragmentation Alternate Pool: None Free: 0 Cause: No Alternate pool -Process= "IP ARP Adjacency", ipl= 2, pid= 176 %COMMON_FIB-3-NOMEM: Memory allocation failure for fib entry insertion in IPv4 CEF [0x606164D0] (fatal) (1 subsequent failure) Conditions: This issue was first seen in Cisco IOS Release 12.2(33)SCB on a PRE2 module.
