Cisco Bug: CSCsz36656 - GM is still a member of the rekey group even after removing crypto map

Last Modified

Jan 28, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco 7200 Series Routers

Known Affected Releases

12.2SXJ

Description (partial)

Symptom:

When teh crypto map is removed and reapplied or clear crypto gdoi is done at GM, the GM forgets to unregister from the Multicast group it registered to. Hence once the GM comes up again, even though it is in Unicast mode now, it will still be registered to the Multicast address. Moreover if it is registered again to a Multicast address, then it starts getting the rekey/retransmission many times.

Conditions:

Gm is registered to a Multicast group and either "Clear crypto gdoi " is done once after that or crypto map is removed and reapplied.
