Description (partial)

Symptom:
Port fails to come up with error message "internal handshake failure" OR 
Service L2FM crashes causing either switchover or system reload

Conditions:
A sparse VLAN range configuration could cause this bug to be hit. In a case where customer has created VLANs 1,3,5,7 where VLAN range is not contiguous this issue could be hit. 

Workaround(s):
Changing VLAN range to be contiguous will solve the issue.
