Cisco Bug: CSCsz26434 - sanity check fails after bin install (when boot order is changed )
Apr 10, 2015
- Cisco Content Delivery Engine Series
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: When the boot order changes to say Flash first followed by hardrive instead of it being vice versa, the clean iso install handles this by changing the boot label in /etc/sysconfig/grub and inthe corresponding /etc-pristine/sysconfig/grub file. If a bin install is performed after the iso, it replaces the grub file in /etc-pristine with an older version which contains th eincorrect label for the boot line. This results in subsequent sanity checks or iso upgrades failing due to the difference in the labels in the /etc/sysconfig/grub and /etc-pristine/sysconfig grub files Conditions: This problem will be encountered only if a CDE-111 system *does not* have the normal hardrive first, SSD second, boot order. This is highly unlikely since most CDE-111s have the right boot order .
