Symptoms: The following traceback and error message are displayed:
 
 %IPRT-3-NDB_STATE_ERROR: NDB state error (BAD EVENT

 Conditions: This symptom is observed when RIP is configured on a Cisco 10000 
 series router with PRE4 and is running Cisco IOS Release 12.2(34)SB2. The RIP 
 holddown timer is set to "0". The GigE or Sonet controller on the Cisco 10000 
 series router that has RIP enabled is shut down.
