Symptoms: The following traceback and error message are displayed: %IPRT-3-NDB_STATE_ERROR: NDB state error (BAD EVENT STATE) (0x0) 172.24.0.0/16, state 7, event 0->1, nh_type 1 flags 4 - Process= "RIP Router", ipl= 0, pid= 336 -Traceback= 407FFAA4 407FFFE8 40D97228 40D981F4 40D99FCC 40D9A110 40D94EF0 40D963A4 41107300 41107AB4 4110A67C 4110CF04 Conditions: This symptom is observed when RIP is configured on a Cisco 10000 series router with PRE4 and is running Cisco IOS Release 12.2(34)SB2. The RIP holddown timer is set to "0". The GigE or Sonet controller on the Cisco 10000 series router that has RIP enabled is shut down.
