Feb 10, 2010
- Cisco Catalyst 4000 Series Switches
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Software generated layer 3 control packets that are sent over a .1Q switchport trunk encapsulated in a VLAN tag fail to retain the DSCP value that is expected as per various control plane packet requirements. These packets show up on the wire with DSCP value of 0. Conditions: The problem occurs only for IP packets that are generated by the switch and are transmitted with VLAN tag encapsulation over a .1Q switchport trunk.
