Symptom:
Current installation process proceeds without checking if the hardware is a supported platform. This results in two things - a) Hardware which is not supported will proceed without giving any errors and b) Leads customer to believe that this platform would work on upgrade when it does not.
Conditions:
Standard installation process for installing software.
