Cisco Bug: CSCsz08054 - traffic is not classified in the time of congestion-ME3400E
Jan 29, 2017
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: apply scheduling on a port-channel based on 802.1p CoS marking. On ingress all traffic is classified using input policy and given an internal qos-group marking based on CoS marking. On egress (since the policies cannot be applied to the port-channel) the policy is applied to the member interfaces of the port-channel to schedule traffic based on the qos-group marking. The problem is that the actual scheduling behavior is, under many circumstances, not actually applied to the ports. The 'show policy-map interface fx/x out' will show the correct information, but when in a congested state all classes are treated uniformly rather than in the manner configured. . Conditions: After the schedulers are applied correctly, the performance of the schedulers for our purpose is good. However, after a reboot, the schedulers come up in a broken state.
