Changing the type of FF is wrongly displayed on profile

Steps to reproduce:

Login to App and go to FF config page
Choose one profile FF (e.g 6) and set it to be Active,Visible to users, and of type Text
Go to User group page and set some text in the FF which was just defined.
Verify on User profile page the text which was entered is shown.
Navigate to FF config page and set the previously modified FF to be of type Date.
Navigate to User group page and select a group for which the text was entered in previous step.

Expected result:

The FF field is of type date and set to blank or current date.

Actual result:

The FF is of type date but the value which is set is previously added text.Which is not a valid entry for a FF of type date.
