Symptom: Duplicate emails are seen when a single email is sent. It could be a couple duplicated emails received or the same email that keeps popping up. Outlook 2003 mails bounced back with "client operation failed" error in rare cases Conditions: Conditions that would cause a TCP connection that is part of the Outlook client application to reach the Exchange server directly (bypassing the WAEs): Examples, (1) WCCP ACL's at the router (br and/or core) to deny redirect (2) Network level configuration changes (interface up/down, TFO optimization enable/disable, etc.) causing transient conditions that can leak connections from the client to the server. In addition to this, TFO Overload conditions at the branch and/or core coinciding with heavy usage of the Outlook (causing several concurrent TCP connections from the same Outlook session).
