Cisco Bug: CSCsy88163 - implement sensor self-purge for memory protection
Mar 18, 2010
- Cisco IPS 4200 Series Sensors

Symptom: Implement sensor self-purge for memory protection (off by default) Conditions: Certain environments can exhibit memory fragmentation that can eventually prevent large block allocation, and cause a sensor memory fault. Purging the database periodically can help to minimize this problem. This is an enhancement to add a "self purge" feature configurable via sensorApp.conf. This work-around can also be applied to systems exhibiting CSCsy93579.
