Products (1)

  • Cisco IPS 4200 Series Sensors

Known Affected Releases

6.0(5) 6.1(2) 6.2(1) 7.0(0)B111

Description (partial)

Symptom:

Implement sensor self-purge for memory protection (off by default)

Conditions:

Certain environments can exhibit memory fragmentation that can eventually prevent large block allocation, and cause a sensor memory fault.
Purging the database periodically can help to minimize this problem.
This is an enhancement to add a "self purge" feature configurable via sensorApp.conf. This work-around can also be applied to systems exhibiting
CSCsy93579.
