Cisco Bug: CSCsy83043 - Redundant interface is down if any member is down at boot

Last Modified

Nov 09, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls

Known Affected Releases

8.1(2.16) 8.1(2.163)

Description (partial)

If the Security Appliance boots with one member-interface in a Redundant interface
as down, then the Redundant interface will remain down - even when the other
member-interface in the Redundant interface is up. This results in a total interface failure.

Redundant interfaces must be in use, and the Security Appliance must boot
with one member interface down, and the other one up.
