Cisco Bug: CSCsy79955 - PVDM2-xDM modems do not respond to AT commands in reverse ssh session
Jan 28, 2017
- Cisco IOS
Known Affected Releases
Symptoms: Reverse SSH using PVDM2 modems fails. If the <CmdBold>ssh -l <username>:<line #> <ip><noCmdBold> command is entered, modem activation is triggered. The input of "atdt<number>" is making it to the modem, meaning whatever the <number> field is typed, it is reported in the debugs. However, the modem does not send anything back to router about it and no connection is made. At modem prompt, "at", "at&f", "ate1" (and perhaps others) do not appear to be taken. Conditions: Seen on routers running Cisco IOS Release 12.4(22)T and 12.4(23). Appears to be issue with all releases. Issue is seen when using both <CmdBold>ssh -l <username>:<line #> <ip><noCmdBold> and by using SSH from a client to a particular line.
