Description (partial)

On a 7600/Cat6k with SUP720 running 12.2(33)SRC3 we might see :

%EOBC-3-NOEOBCBUF: No EOBC buffer available. Dropping the packet.

This is a side effect of the new MFI Stat collection feature:

CPU utilization for five seconds: 98%/3%; one minute: 62%; five minutes: 60%
PID Runtime(ms) Invoked uSecs 5Sec 1Min 5Min TTY Process
246 2010488 8622 233181 75.27% 43.00% 40.58% 0 MFI LFD Stats
134 460428 2742 167916 14.23% 9.39% 9.24% 0 CFIB LC STATS Ta

The EOBC tx rate is really high (almost 5 Mbps)

c7600-2-dfc3#show eobc | i rate
     rx rate (bits/sec) = 56000 rx rate (packets/sec) = 88
     tx rate (bits/sec) = 4470000 tx rate (packets/sec) = 398

Hardware/SW is 12.2(33)SRC3 and PFC3BXL

Customer is running a simulated internet routing table in a VRF (e.g. 270K
routes and allocate 270K local labels).

When doing this AND sending lots of traffic through a TenGigabitEthernet DFC linecard, we get the following EOBC messages printed all the time.
