Description (partial)

An FXS port on an IOS gateway will not play out dial-digits if the dial delay timer is interrupted. This refers specifically to digits forwarded out an FXS port via the dial-peer with a configuration such as:

dial-peer voice 1 pots
 destination-pattern 8675309
 no digit-strip
 port 2/0

In the above example, 8675309 will be played out the FXS port as DTMF digits when the connected device answers an incoming call. The digits are played out after a 500ms timer (300ms if battery-reversal is disabled). If anything interrupts this timer (an offhook / onhook / offhook transition for example) the digits will not be played out.

This was seen with a customer who had a "MultiTech Faxfinder" connected to the FXS ports of a VG224.
