Symptoms: Password information may be displayed in a syslog message as follows: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from scp://userid:email@example.com/config.txt by console Conditions: This symptom is observed when using SNMP to modify a configuration by means of the CISCO-CONFIG-COPY-MIB; selection of ConfigCopyProtocol of SCP or FTP may result in the password being exposed in a syslog message.
