Description (partial)

A Cisco Catalyst switch increments receive error counters, including CRC/FCS,
symbol, and false carrier errors. This specific problem has only been observed
after the connected device is reloaded or power-cycled.

(There are many reasons why error counters will increment, including hardware
and software defects on the connected device, bad cabling, etc. This defect
only tracks the issue specifically described in this Release Note.)

This problem may occur when the connected device drops MLT-3 signaling for a
very brief period of time, the switch and connected device have hardcoded speed
and duplex, and the connected device is connected to the 10/100 interfaces on
the following Cisco Catalyst switches:

Cisco Catalyst 2950 (except 2950G-12, 2950G-24, 2950G-48, 2950T-48, 2950SX-48)
Cisco Catalyst 3550
Cisco Catalyst 3560
Cisco Catalyst 3750
Cisco Catalyst ME-C3750
